MOSCOW, July 8. /TASS/. The economic model for functioning of collective organization for management of copyright having the state accreditation will be developed with involvement of the broadest range of experts, representative of the Russian Ministry of Culture Natalia Romashova told TASS on Friday.
"The economic model for efficient functioning of organization will be developed with involvement of the broadest range of experts from executive authorities, societies, authors and copyright holders," Romashova said.
The Ministry of Culture "is tasked to make work of such organizations efficient, transparent, and that gathered funds are properly distributed among authors," she added.
"We set the task of making operations of accredited organizations open, thereby providing an opportunity for control of their activities by the public, and by holders of rights and users in the first instance," Romashova said.
Four organizations in the sphere of collective management of copyright are currently working in Russia: Russian Authors Society, Russian Union of Right-holders, Russian Organization for Intellectual Property and Partnership for Protection and Management of Rights in Arts Sphere.
