MAKHACHKALA, July 7. /TASS/. Security forces have reportedly killed a gunman during a skirmish in Karabudakhkent district of Russia’s North Caucasus Republic of Dagestan where the counterterrorism operation regime was put in place overnight on Thursday, a source in the law enforcement agencies of the North Caucasus Federal District has told TASS.
"According to preliminary data, one militant who tried to offer resistance to security forces has been killed in the village of Novy Paraul. Details are being clarified," the source said.
There has been no official confirmation from Dagestan’s law enforcement agencies yet.
