MAKHACHKALA, June 17. /TASS/. Ten militants have been killed in two latest security sweeps in Dagestan, a source in the republic’s law enforcement has told TASS.
"In all, according to the latest sources, ten militants have been killed. The leader of the Yuzhnaya (Southern) gang was killed on the border of the Derbent and Tabasarany districts, and nine militants, in the Suleiman-Stal district. On Friday morning, the bodies of five militants were found there. Later in the day the rest of the gang was eliminated," the source said. The identity of those killed is being established.
