MOSCOW, June 3. /TASS/. The area of a fire that has swept hangars in the Moscow Region totals 25,000 square meters, spokesman for the Emergencies Ministry’s regional department Vadim Malyshev told TASS on Friday.
"Five hangars are ablaze in the settlement of Luchinskoye on an area of 25,000 square meters. There are no data on any persons hurt in the incident," the spokesman said.
The hangars are storing paints and lacquers and highly inflammable liquids, the spokesman said.
Fire-fighting units are working on the scene. The Emergencies Ministry is building up the grouping to fight the fire. There is no threat to the housing stock, the spokesman said.
