The largest ever cycle parade in Russia was held on May 29. More than 30,000 people participated in the event held in Moscow in support of the bicycle infrastructure development. Anyone over 14 years of age could join the bicycle parade. The parade participants without their own vehicles were able to rent a bike in the city’s cycle rental system at a discount. In addition, residents of suburbs on this day were allowed to transport their bikes free of charge in commuter trains.
