MAKHACHKALA, May 14. /TASS/. Ten police officers were wounded in a shooting in Derbent, a city in Russia’s North Caucasus republic of Dagestan, and one of them has died, the city hospital said on Saturday.
"Ten people were hurt, and one has died (in hospital)," a hospital staff member said, adding that all of them are police officers.
Earlier reports said three police officers were wounded as unknown attackers threw a grenade at them and later opened fire. The shooting was carried out from one of apartments when police officers were conducting a raid in a house.
