Russian investigators return kidnapped girl to her Brazilian mother

The father of a 21 month-old girl kidnapped her three times

MOSCOW, May 10. /TASS/. The Russian Investigative Committee has returned Brazilian citizen Mariana Santes de Costa her daughter kidnapped by her father more than a year ago, the woman’s lawyer Oksana Mikhalkina has told TASS.

"After the child’s abduction, the girl’s father who said his name was Christian Diloyal (aka Russian national Andrey Brovkin) was put on a wanted list. A few days ago investigators handed over the baby to her mother in the Investigative Committee building," the lawyer said.

According to her, during the divorce Moscow’s Tagansky court left the girl with her mother, a citizen of Brazil, and ordered her ex-husband to pay child support. In spite of this, the girl’s father kidnapped her three times.

"It took almost a year to find the girl, he was hiding in different cities of Russia with her, but now she has been returned to her mother, and the Investigative Committee will continue the investigation against her father," Mikhalkina said.

The lawyer noted that the baby is currently 21 months old.
