Investigators bring charges against suspected killer of 5 bikers in Moscow Region

MOSCOW, May 10. /TASS/. Investigators have brought charges against the suspected killer of five bikers in the Yegoryevsk district of the Moscow Region, the regional Investigative Department told TASS on Tuesday.

"The 27-year-old resident of the Yegoryevsk district has been charged with killing five men. Investigators continue working with him," the regional Investigative Department said.

A number of investigative measures are planned, including questioning. "A psychological and psychiatric expert examination will soon be commissioned to reveal the man’s sanity," it said.

The Yegoryevsk city court of the Moscow Region arrested on May 8 private security firm employee Ilya Aseyev on suspicion of killing the bikers. He was detained near the house where he lived. He confessed to committing the crime.

According to the suspect, the bikers were preparing a concert site near the abandoned building of a brewery to mark the end of the motorcycle race. They were drinking alcoholic drinks and a quarrel started between the bikers and Aseyev after the suspect showed his intention to join them.

The suspect went home, then returned to the scene with a hunting rifle and made several shots at the bikers. He then attacked them with a knife. Two women accompanying the bikers became the eye-witnesses of the crime. The suspect didn’t hurt them.
