MOSCOW, April 23. /TASS/. The flooding situation in Russia stabilizes, high water recedes from flooded houses, press service of the emergencies ministry told TASS on Saturday.
"As of now, in 139 settlements remain flooded 3,972 private houses and yards, where 3,956 people live, as well as 57 low bridges and 14 passages of roads," the ministry’s representative said.
Most complicated situations remain in the Vologda, Perm, Kirov, Omsk, Tyumen and Sverdlov regions and in Udmurtiya.
"In all the regions, the rescuers work on consequences of the floods, and as soon as the water recedes they begin repairing works," the representative said.
The rescuers assist the people suffering from high water, deliver to them food, drinking water and essentials.
