KALUGA, April 20. /TASS/. Austria’s western city of Salzburg and Russia’s central city of Kaluga have become twin cities, Deputy Culture Minister Alla Manilova told TASS on Wednesday.
"We agreed on partner and twin ties between Salzburg and Kaluga with its Culture Ministry," Manilova said, adding that flight connection may be established between the two cities.
According to Manilova, the decision will promote the tourism sphere, attracting people to Kaluga, known for its State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics.
The relations of the two cities will be promoted during the 2017 cross-culture year of Russia and Austria.
