First Russian-Chinese Institute of Arts organized in China

At the initial stage, the institute will train about 300 students, who after four years will receive Bachelor degrees of the Moscow and Weinan universities

BEIJING, April 9. /TASS/. The first Russian-Chinese joint Institute of Arts is being organized in China’s Weinan.

An expert commission of the Chinese Education Ministry adopted on Saturday the project for organization of this new educational institution, which will be co-founded by the Moscow State Pedagogical University and the Weinan Normal University (Shaanxi Province, North-Western China).

"This year already, we shall have first students at the department of musical education, and in 2017 we shall offer programs in pre-school education with the focus on development of musical skills, and in 2018 we shall have another department - of fine arts," representative of the Russian university Konstantin Dotsenko told the Russian media. "We have made joint educational programs and we plan to build a separate building at the Weinan Normal University."

At the initial stage, the institute will train about 300 students, who after four years will receive Bachelor degrees of the Moscow and Weinan universities. During the training programs, the students will be able to have traineeships in Moscow, and Russian musicians may also visit China to give master classes there, too, the representative said.
