MOSCOW, April 7. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend the Third Truth and Justice Media Forum of Independent Regional on Thursday, the Kremlin press-service reported.
The forum, sponsored by the Russian Popular Front (RPF) is now underway in St. Petersburg from April 4 to April 7.
More than 450 people took part in its work: journalists from all regions of the country, bloggers, leaders of the federal mass media, heads of ministries and departments.
The media forum focusses on the most pressing issues of the regions, issues of development of independent journalism. A number of international issues is also on the agenda.
The First Truth and Justice Media Forum was held in St. Petersburg in April of 2014. About 300 people took part in its work. At the end of the plenary meeting of the Media Forum Russian President who is also the leader of RPF signed a list of instructions. The forum resulted in creation of the Center of legal support of journalists and the Truth and Justice foundation for the support of independent regional and local media.
In 2015, the head of state also attended the forum and talked with its members. The questions to the President and his replies concerned different spheres of life - the situation in the economy, security of salaries, benefits, government officials, the state defense order, the judiciary, government transparency, and media issues.
