Counter-terror operation regime introduced in part of district in Russia's Dagestan

The search for militants is underway

MAKHACHKALA, April 5. /TASS/. A counter-terror operation regime was introduced in the small hours of Tuesday in a part of the mountainous Kurakh district in the south of the North Caucasus region of Dagestan, a spokesman for the regional branch of Russia’s National Antiterrorist Committee told TASS.

"At 06:00 hours local time [05:00 hours Moscow Standard Time or 02:00 hours GMT], the counter-terror operation regime was declared in the part of the Kurakh district between the townships of Kabir, Ikra, and Rugun and Mount Yarkhiguneikil," he said. "The mopping-up in a search for militants is underway there."
