Kremlin does not rule out Putin’s possible meeting with Elton John in Moscow

Elton John is expected to give a concert in Moscow on May 30

MOSCOW, March 28. /TASS/. The Kremlin does not rule out a possible meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and British multiple Grammy-winning superstar Elton John in Moscow in the near future, Russian president’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.

"Indeed, when they [Putin and John] spoke over the phone several months ago, they agreed that should their schedules allow they will meet in Moscow when Elton John is here on a tour," Peskov said.

"As soon as we know the exact date of his [John’s] stay in Moscow and in case the president’s schedule allows that, such a meeting is not ruled out," he said.

Moscow’s Crocus City Hall, a concert venue, said Elton John is arriving in Russia as part of his Wonderful Crazy Night Tour. He is expected to give a concert on May 30.
