MOSCOW, January 28. /TASS/. A Moscow court has arrested a 58-year-old man who shot a woman dead for using a loudspeaker as he was irritated by the noise, the court said on Thursday.
On January 26, Sergey Galakhov shot his hunting rifle at the 25-year-old saleswoman for using a loudspeaker in the street. The woman worked as a promoter.
After being arrested, Sergey Galakhov admitted his guilt, telling the court the incident was "a tragedy."
"I thought it was a man and I only wanted to scare him," Galakhov said. "I did not want to kill the woman, I shot because of the stress, the loudspeaker irritated me."
The court ruled to arrest Galakhov till March 26 for further investigation. He may face up to 15 years in prison.
