VOLGOGRAD, December 30. /TASS/. Rescue teams have found the fifth body while removing the debris in a residential house damaged by gas explosion in the Russian southern city of Volgograd, a spokesman for the Emergencies Ministry’s regional department told TASS on Wednesday.
"The Emergencies Ministry’s rescue teams have carried out a unique search operation," Dmitry Ulanov said. "As a result, the body of the fifth victim, who died in the gas explosion in Volgograd on December 20, was recovered."
On December 20, an alleged household gas explosion rocked a nine-floor residential building in the city of Volgograd. The outer wall of the building collapsed from the second to the ninth floors. The blast was followed by fire covering an area of 30 square meters. There were 36 flats in the three-section house.
