Pyrotechnic artist killed in Urals as client orders fireworks for marriage proposal

A firework rocket hit him in the neck

MOSCOW, December 28. /TASS/. A pyrotechnic artist has been killed in the Urals city of Chelyabinsk while launching fireworks for a client seeking to make a romantic marriage proposal, a police source there said on Monday.

"The groom-to-be found a pyrotechnic firm online and ordered a fireworks display. On December 26, the firm’s employee installed fireworks outdoors and his client went upstairs to make the proposal. He phoned the pyrotechnic artist and told him to launch the fireworks," the officer said.

"When the proposal was made and the young man went downstairs to grab a bottle of champagne from his car, he saw the artist lying dead on the ground."

Investigators said a firework rocket hit him in the neck.
