The State Oil company’s representative said Azerbaijan will not attract assistance in extinguishing the fire from other countries

BAKU, December 6. /TASS/. 29 people are considered missing after the fire at an oil rig in Azerbaijan’s sector of the Caspian Sea, Hoshbaht Yusifzade of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) told a news conference on Sunday.

He said one man died in the fire. Earlier, the ANS television broadcaster reported the rescuers found and lifted from the water another body.

"The key task now is to search for the missing people," Yusifzade said, adding chances to rescue the missing are not high.

The company’s representative said Azerbaijan will not attract assistance in extinguishing the fire from other countries, nor does the country consider the accident as a subversive action.
