Police confiscate 145,000 bottles of life-threatening alcohol in Dagestan

MAKHACHKALA, December 5. /TASS/. Dagestan’s police confiscated over 145,000 bottles of life-threatening alcohol, press service of the local police said on Saturday.

"At the warehouse of a winery the police found over 145,000 bottled of unlabelled alcohol worth over 25 million roubles, and additionally over 11 million litres of cognac and cognac distillate," the police said.

Experts say the products were hazardous for health and lives of possible consumers.

The police opened criminal proceedings.

Earlier, in Russia’s several regions people got poisoned by counterfeited alcohol. Within a week in Siberia’s Krasnoyarsk 11 people died and 48 got badly poisoned with faked whiskey. Four people died in the south Urals’ Orenburg region.
