SAMARA, December 1. /TASS/. A karate coach of a children’s sports club in Saratov, a city located in the middle reaches of the Volga River, was shot dead by the father of one of the club’s students, a spokesman for the regional interior department told TASS on Thursday.
"Police detained a man who opened gunfire in an exercise room in Saratov. It was the 45-year-old father of one of the children practicing sports at the club," the spokesman said.
According to the police, the incident took place on Monday evening. The man entered the exercise room and opened fire from firearms deadly wounding a 48-year-old karate coach. The coach died on site. Two persons were wounded. Luckily, children were not hurt.
According to preliminary information, the shooting was caused by a conflict between the two men.
A criminal case has been initiated.
