Counter-terrorism regime declared in Dagestan’s village

MAKHACHKALA, October 24. /TASS/. A counter-terrorism operation was launched early on Saturday in the village of Gimry in Russia’s North Caucasus republic of Dagestan, a spokesman for the operation headquarters has said.

"The regime was introduced at 6.40 a.m. Moscow time [3.40 a.m. GMT]. The measures to locate and neutralize gunmen are ongoing," the spokesman said.

On Friday, the counter-terrorism regime was also declared in two other villages of Dagestan.
