Investigatory actions over in village near Moscow where body of killer businessman found

The relatives of the Krasnogorsk shooter are expected to participate in the identification procedure shortly

TIMOSHKINO, Moscow region, October 24. /TASS/. Investigatory actions have been completed in the village of Timoshkino to the west of Moscow where the supposed body of killer businessman Amiran Georgadze was found on Friday afternoon, a source at the agencies of investigation and prosecution told TASS.

At the time of reporting, the body of the man who had sprung to notoriety as the ‘Krasnogorsk shooter’ after shooting dead two officials in the town of Krasnogorsk was being transported to a center for forensic studies.

The relatives of the Krasnogorsk shooter are expected to participate in the identification procedure shortly, after which it will be possible to confirm that the body found at a dacha in the woodland near Timoshkino is really that of Amiran Georgadze.

Police squads continue sealing off the territory of Timoshkino and all the approaches to the house where the body was found are still blocked.

The body was found on Friday afternoon by the house owner, who saw it lie on the sofa after what appeared to be a suicide committed by a shot in the chin from a Makarov handgun. The man had smashed a window to penetrate the house.

Timoshkino was the last place where Georgadze was seen alive several days ago.

The Krasnogorsk shooter shot and killed First Deputy Mayor of the Krasnogorsk district, Yuri Karaulov, right in the latter man’s office on Monday, October 19.

After that he killed Georgy Kotlyarenko, the head of the Krasnogorsk power distribution grids.

While getting away from the investigators, Georgadze also shot and killed an occasional eyewitness. A body of his business partner was found in his house later on.

As of that moment, Georgadze was placed on a federal wanted list. Investigators promised a bounty of a million rubles for information about him.

On Thursday, a district court in Moscow issued an authorization to arrest Georgadze's driver, Shota Elizbarashvili, who is suspected of complicity in the murder of four people.
