Killer of two officials shoots down scooter driver

Businessman Amiran Georgradze is suspected of killing Yuri Karaulov, a first deputy head of the Krasnogorsk district administration, and Georgy Kotlyarenko, the head of the local electricity company

MOSCOW, October 19. /TASS/. Businessman Amiran Georgradze wanted for the murder of two officials in the town of Krasnogorsk near Moscow has shot dead a scooter driver in one of the neighboring villages, a police source told TASS on Monday.

"According to preliminary reports, the suspected killer has shot dead a man who was driving by on his scooter," the source said.

Vladimir Markin, a spokesman for the Russian Investigative Committee, said earlier that "Georgadze killed another person in a village near Krasnogorsk when fleeing the crime scene."

Georgadze, the owner of some 20 local construction companies, is suspected of killing Yuri Karaulov, a first deputy head of the Krasnogorsk district administration, and Georgy Kotlyarenko, the head of the local electricity company.

Earlier on Monday Georgadze "entered the deputy administration head’s office during lunchbreak, shot both men from an automatic gun and drove away in his car," Markin said.
