KIEV, October 18. /TASS/. One person died in an explosion onboard a tugboat anchored in the Dnieper River near the settlement of Tripolye in the Kiev region, a spokesman for Ukraine’s emergencies service said on Sunday.
"It was established that one crew member was thrown overboard into the Dnieper by a blast wave. His dead body was lifted from the water shortly after the explosion," the spokesman told the 112.Ukraina television channel.
Earlier, the emergencies service said the explosion had been caused by an improper pump used to pump fuel into a 15-200 litre can.
