Counter-terrorism operation regime ends in Dagestan's villages

MAKHACHKALA, October 17. /TASS/. The counter-terrorism operation regime introduced in three villages of the Khasavyurt region in the Russian republic of Dagestan has been lifted, a source with the regional department of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee told TASS on Saturday.

"At 18.30 the counter-terrorism operation regime was lifted in the villages of Botayurt, Novy Kurush and Sadovoye of Dagestan's Khasavyurt region and the nearby areas," the source said adding that all operative activities had ended.

On Saturday morning, at 06.30 Moscow time [03.30 GMT] the counter-terrorism operation regime was introduced in the area.

During the operation, four militants involved in the murder of the Novy Kurush mosque's imam committed on September 9 were destroyed. An officer of the Russian Security Service received a wound.
