Major synthetic drug-smuggling route smashed in Moscow

Moscow police press service head said a week earlier the police confiscated over 21 kilograms of drug substances, used for production of ‘spices.’

MOSCOW, October 5. /TASS/. Moscow drug squad officers and forces of the federal security service (FSB) have detained a couple, in whose car they found 3.5 kilograms of ‘spices’, press service of the Moscow police said on Monday.

The press service head, Andrei Galiakberov, said a week earlier the police confiscated over 21 kilograms of drug substances, used for production of ‘spices.’

"During further investigation, at the entrance to Moscow, the police stopped a LADA car driven by a 33 year0old woman. The passenger was her husband of 28, and he carried a packet containing a powdered substance of 3.5 kilograms. The confiscated substance is a drug used for making the so-called ‘spices’," he said.

The investigation is under way.
