The body was found not far from a Buddhist monastery in the Chonburi Province

BANGKOK, October 3. /TASS/. Body of a Russian citizen of 54, supposedly a suicide, was found in Thailand on Saturday, head of the Russian consular section at the embassy in Thailand Vladimir Sosnov told TASS.

"We have received confirmation from the police about death of a Russian citizen," he said. "Now we shall be identifying his relatives."

The body was found not far from a Buddhist monastery in the Chonburi Province. The police say the man had committed a suicide.

The local media report the man had come to the monastery several days earlier asking for shelter. He told the monastery’s head he used to live in Moscow, then moved to Pattaya, but was left without a livelihood as his Thai wife threw him out of the house.
