Apple architect Steve Wozniak to receive Serbian citizenship

BELGRADE, December 6. /TASS/. Steve Wozniak, one of the founders of Apple, will soon receive Serbian citizenship, President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic announced at a joint press conference with Wozniak.

"I believe that the Serbian government, at my proposal, will provide a Serbian passport to the creator of the microcomputer, a legend of the global IT industry. I congratulate Mr. Wozniak and his wife on this, today or tomorrow they will become citizens of Serbia, and this is a great honor for us," Vucic said.

Apple was founded on April 1, 1976 by Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs. To finance the company's work, Jobs sold his car, and Wozniak sold an expensive calculator. Today the company produces iPhone smartphones, iPad tablets, iMac computers, MacBook laptops and other electronics and gadgets. Headquartered in the American city of Cupertino, Apple is one of the world’s largest corporations.
