Crimean health resorts ready to host children, soldiers injured in Syria war

The head of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov has invited 30-40 Syrian soldiers and 50 Syrian children

SIMFEROPOL, April 14. /TASS/. Crimea’s health resorts are ready to provide treatment and rehabilitation for 50 children and up to 40 military injured in combat actions in Syria, Deputy Chairman of the Crimean Council of Ministers Georgy Muradov told TASS on Sunday.

"The head of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov has invited 30-40 Syrian soldiers and 50 Syrian children, who were wounded during the anti-terror war, to receive treatment in Crimean health resorts. We will be working on arranging the visit of our Syrian patients," Muradov said, noting that the lists were being compiled.

In 2017, the Artek international children’s center received children of Syrian President Bashar Assad. The issue on sending Syrian children and citizens for rehabilitation was discussed at a conference, "Syria’s Economic Development," during the fourth Yalta International Economic Forum in 2018.

The issues of cooperation between Syria and Crimea will be discussed at the upcoming Yalta forum, which is due to be attended by a representative Syrian delegation.

The fifth Yalta International Economic Forum is scheduled to take place in the Crimean city of Yalta on April 17-21. About 3,000 people from over 100 countries are expected to participate in the event.
