Ex-mayor of Vladivostok sentenced to 15 years in prison for corruption

Former mayor of Vladivostok Igor Pushkarev also has to pay a fine of 500 million rubles

MOSCOW, April 9. /TASS/. Moscow's Tverskoy court has found former mayor of Vladivostok Igor Pushkarev guilty of corruption crimes and setenced him to 15 years in a penal colony, a TASS correspondent reported from the courtroom.

"To find Igor Pushkarev guilty and to sentence him to 15 years in a penal colony and to a fine of 500 million rubles," the judge said.

Two other defendants were found guilty as well. The ex-mayor's brother Andrey Pushkarev was sentenced to 8 years suspended and to a fine of 500 million rubles. Businessman Andrey Lushnikov was sentenced to 10 years in a penal colony and to a fine of 500 million rubles.
