MOSCOW, March 19. /TASS/. The European Jewish Congress (EJC) is outraged with the annual marching of former Waffen-SS men in Latvia on March 16 and calls for remembering the barbarities and atrocities of the Nazi supporters, EJC President Viatcheslav Kantor told TASS on Tuesday.

"Each time when news of Fascist and Neo-Nazi marches comes from the Baltic states, I feel great resentment and pain," Kantor said.

The Latvian Legion left a disastrous bloody trace of atrocities against the civil population in Belarus and the Pskov Region, he said. "There are memories left, photos and archive materials which show mass extra-judicial executions, tortures and violence on the part of the Latvian SS men," he added.

"It is impossible to forget the barbarities of the Latvian Legion, nor rewrite its criminal history," Kantor stressed. "Those who follow this path out of meanness and political intrigues plant a delay-action mine in the future of their country and the people.".
