Rammstein changes venue for July performance in Moscow

The concert agency noted that they had decided to change the venue "following numerous requests from fans" because Luzhniki Stadium is capable of accommodating more people

MOSCOW, March 18. /TASS/. An upcoming Moscow concert by Rammstein, the world-renowned German industrial-metal band, which is scheduled for July 29, will take place at Luzhniki Stadium instead of the VTB Arena, the TCI concert agency announced on Facebook.

"The Moscow concert by the German rock band Rammstein, scheduled for July 29, 2019 at the VTB Arena - Central Dynamo Stadium has been relocated to the Luzhniki Grand Sports Arena," the agency said in a statement.

The company noted that they had decided to change the venue "following numerous requests from fans" because Luzhniki Stadium is capable of accommodating more people.

Additional tickets will go on sale on March 21.

The agency noted that the tickets that had been purchased earlier would remain valid for all categories and would not require an exchange.

The announcement of the Rammstein stadium tour caused a stir. According to the TCI agency, more than 800,000 tickets were sold on the first day, and additional dates have been announced.

The TCI agency said that the tickets for the Moscow concert had sold out in two weeks after they went on sale.

Rammstein will open their tour on May 27 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. After that, the musicians will head to Spain, Switzerland, Denmark, the Netherlands, France, the UK, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Poland, Latvia, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Austria.
