Russia, Luxembourg roll out university exchange program

LUXEMBOURG, March 6. /TASS/. Russia and Luxembourg have launched a program of university exchanges during Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev’s visit, Luxembourg’s Prime Minister Xavier Bettel said on Wednesday at a joint news conference with Medvedev.

"During this visit, we have launched a program of university exchanges by signing a major agreement in culture," Luxembourg’s prime minister said adding that the two countries’ relations "have been developing throughout the 150-year history, and particularly actively in the economy, culture and science."

During Medvedev’s visit to Luxembourg on Wednesday, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatiana Golikova, who co-chairs the mixed commission on economic cooperation between Russia and the Belgium-Luxemburg Economic Union, and Luxembourg’s Deputy Prime Minister Etienne Schneider, who also co-chairs the mixed commission, put their signatures under the joint intergovernmental declaration on cooperation in modernization in the economic field.

Along with that, Russian and Luxembourg culture ministers, Vladimir Medinsky and Sam Tanson, signed a protocol of the meeting of the Russian-Luxembourg commission for cooperation in culture for 2019-2021.

The signing ceremony took place at the Grand Duke Jean Museum of Modern Art (MUDAM), the venue of the talks between the Russian and Luxembourg prime ministers.
