Two Russian TV film crews refused entry to Moldova

Those are shooting teams from NTV and Rossiya-1 TV channels

CHISINAU/MOSCOW, February 19. /TASS/. Moldova’s border police have denied entry to film crews of Russian NTV and Rossiya-1TV channels on an assignment to interview President Igor Dodon, the press service of the presidential administration said on Tuesday.

"The authorities have once again denied entry into the Republic of Moldova to two shooting teams from NTV and Rossiya-1 TV channels that planned to interview President Igor Dodon. We resolutely condemn these actions and deem them as a new provocation against our partner, the Russian Federation, as a clear restriction of journalists’ access to information," the report said.

The press service of the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company has confirmed that the film crew of Rossiya-1 was not allowed into Moldova. "They were going to Moldova on an assignment from the editorial team, they were to have made several footages. The journalists have already returned to Moscow," a source told TASS.

The press service of NTV television refrained from comments.

Earlier, the Moldovan border police have repeatedly denied entry to Russian actors, political analysts, public activists and journalists, including journalists from NTV, Ren TV, LifeNews television and other media outlets.
