World Charity Forum to take place in Moscow for first time

The main topics of the forum will be the successful examples of developing and realizing global practices in the sphere of charity, as well as trends and prospects of social entrepreneurship

MOSCOW, February 18. /TASS/. The opening ceremony of the World Charity Forum will take place in Moscow on Monday for the first time.

"The main goal is, basically, unity for the sake of a better world. The second one is to gather the best world practices of charity and philanthropy, to exchange experience, knowledge and technology. This has been the forum’s goal: to gather representatives from this sector in order to establish dialogue, because it is in dialogue that decisions are born. Our motto is "Together we can do so much more". This is the main aim: to unite for a better world," founder and president of the forum Tatyana Popova told TASS.

The main topics of the World Charity Forum will be the successful examples of developing and realizing global practices in the sphere of charity, as well as trends and prospects of social entrepreneurship. There will also be an award ceremony for achievements in the field of charity. The World Charity Award will be given to projects aimed at children’s education, caring for people with disabilities, protecting the environment, preserving cultural heritage, defending human rights and developing international charity.

The World Charity Forum is an international platform for dialogue. "The forum’s activity is aimed to fully realize the fundamental principle: charity without borders," the forum’s press service informed.
