Putin’s team win in ice hockey match in Moscow’s Red Square

The lists of the Night Hockey League teams were traditional

MOSCOW, December 30. /TASS/. The team of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu won 14-10 in a Night Hockey League match played on Moscow’s Red Square on Saturday.

Putin told reporters that he suggested that Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko should join them. Earlier, the two presidents had held talks in the Russian capital.

"Alexander Grigoryevich … answered he should be home in Minsk to solve lots of issues, routine issues. There are always loads of them before the New Year," Putin said. "However, we struck a deal that we would play together and go skiing once we met."

The lists of the Night Hockey League teams were traditional. Putin’s team included Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, legendary veterans and former NHL stars Alexei Kasatonov, Pavel Bure and Vyacheslav Fetisov.
