Russia receives no official U.S. request for Snowden extradition

U.S. only notified Russia that Snowden's American passport was revoked

MOSCOW, August 20 (Itar-Tass) - Russia has not received any formal U.S. requests for the extradition of former CIA employee Edward Snowden, Russian Deputy Prosecutor General Alexander Zvyagintsev told reporters on Tuesday.

“We have not received any official requests from the United States for the extradition of Snowden, they just notified us that his American passport was revoked,” he said.
