MOSCOW, August 2 (Itar-Tass) - A lawmaker of the Russian State Duma lower parliament house has invited U.S. National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden, who was granted temporary asylum in Russia on Thursday, to visit the city of Suzdal, not far from Moscow.

Anton Belyakov of the A Just Russia faction told Itar-Tass on Friday he had been present at a television talk show involving representatives from law enforcement agencies and lawyers and had extended his invitation via these people. When asked whether he had received any answer, he said “I think it will be ‘yes.’”

Earlier, Belyakov wrote on his Facebook page the following: “We have just ended a live program on RTR about Edward Snowden. I spoke with Edward’s lawyer. Maybe, Snowden will come to Suzdal to attend the Day of the City celebrations.”
