MOSCOW, July 12 (Itar-Tass) - Fugitive CIA technical analyst Edward Snowden has told human rights activists meeting with him at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport that he is asking Russia to grant him political asylum.

The information was revealed by Olga Kostina, a member of Russia’s Public Chamber who was taking part in the meeting with Snowden.
