SOCHI, November 15. /TASS/. Russia must retain and strengthen its positions in the space sector, including through more active participation in commercial projects, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday at a government meeting dedicated to the strategy of development of Russia’s state space corporation Roscosmos till the year 2030.
Thus, in his words, it is necessary to develop Russia’s orbital grouping not only by means of increasing the number of spacecraft but also by means of improving their quality and reliability. Moreover, it is necessary to expamd the range of good and services offered by Roscosmos.
"Roscosmos should be more actively involved in commercial projects, it should make a wider use of innovations, expand production of science-intensive products and take more active effort to enter global markets," Putin stressed.
