MOSCOW, October 13. /TASS/. The second stage of the Russian Ebola vaccine trials will be completed by the end of the year, the head of the consumer watchdog, Rospotrebnadzor, said on Tuesday.
"The second stage of the vaccine’s trials should be completed in the end of 2015," Anna Popova said. "We hope that the third stage will be conducted in one of the African states."
She added that two vaccines were undergoing trials, and the first vaccination of volunteers had been completed.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the deadly Ebola virus has killed some 11,300 people in West Africa.
