TYUMEN, November 27. /TASS/. The University of Tyumen and Moscow-based Orekhovich Research Institute of Biomedical Chemistry have signed an agreement in the field of medical and biological research, the university’s press service told TASS.

“The Orekhovich Research Institute of Biomedical Chemistry has become a new partner of the University of Tyumen. The sides will cooperate in the sphere of medical and biological research,” the press service said, adding that the agreement was signed by Valery Falkov, the head of the University of Tyumen, and academician Andrei Lisitsa, the director of the Institute of Biomedical Chemistry.

The university and institute plan to start joint studies of the use of microfluidic technologies aimed to design Lab-on-a-Chip and Organ-on-a-Chip devices, which can be applied in medicine and agriculture.
