A meeting at the president’s residence outside Moscow will once again raise the subject of defence spending, told the Izvestia newspaper.
On January 18 at his Gorki residence, the president will hold this year’s first meeting on economic problems. According to the Izvestia, experts will share with President Dmitry Medvedev their views on how to save the Russian economy in the times of crisis. Among these experts there will be rectors of the Higher School of Economics and the Russian Academy of the National Economy, Yaroslav Kuzminov and Vladimir Mau, respectively. It is expected that participants in the meeting, along with officials from dedicated agencies, will include top executives of Russia’s two biggest banks, Sberbank and VTB.
