Putin lays flowers to Memorial to military and labor glory in Chita

Russian President will then head for Beijing to participate in the celebrations devoted to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the War against Japan and World War II

CHITA, September 2. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has laid flowers together with veterans to the Memorial to military and labor glory established on 9 May 1945 to perpetuate the memory of Zabaykalye residents who fell in the war

Putin also talked to Chita residents and veterans. After spending several hours in Chita, Putin will go with an official visit to China. In Chita, Putin will hold a meeting with Chita governor.

Chita is the first stop in Putin’s three-day working trip. He will then head for Beijing to participate in the celebrations devoted to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the War against Japan and World War II. The Russian leader will also hold talks with the Chinese leadership. After that, Putin will go to Vladivostok to take part in the Eastern Economic Forum.
