MOSCOW, August 26. /TASS/. The US Embassy in Moscow is not commenting on visa issuance for Russian Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, Embassy spokesman William Stevens said on Wednesday.
The US Embassy cannot comment on the details of this visa, the spokesman said in a live broadcast on Ekho Moskvy radio station.
Matviyenko is on the sanctions list of some countries and she knows, like some other Russian officials, that sanctions have been imposed against them, the US Embassy spokesman said.
