Russian arms exporter signs contract supply of 5 Tor-M2K missile systems to Belarus

Supplies are scheduled for 2016

ZHUKOVSKY /Moscow Region/, August 25. /TASS/. Russia's arms exporter on Tuesday signed a contract to supply of five Tor-M2K air defense systems to Belarus in 2016.

"At the MAKS-2015 international aviation and space show, Rosoboronexport signed a contract with the Belarusian Defense Ministry to supply five military vehicles from among the Tor-M2K air defense systems," the company said.

"Supplies are scheduled for 2016," it said.

The special exporter company head, Anatoly Isaykin, said "the supply of these state-of-the-art systems will considerably boost possibilities of the air defense system of the Republic of Belarus and the Union State [of Russia and Belarus] on the whole."

The MAKS-2015 air show is underway in the town of Zhukovsky in the Moscow Region on August 25-30. As reported earlier, it involves more than 600 Russian organizations and over 150 foreign companies.
