ZHUKOVSKY /Moscow Region/ August 25. /TASS/. The Helicopters of Russia company will soon begin the deliveries of attack ship-borne helicopters, originally developed for the Mistral amphibious assault ships, and the upgraded Mi-28NM helicopters, the holding company’s CEO, Alexander Mikheyev, told the media on Tuesday.
"In the near future Ka-52K and Mi-28NM with the dual control feature and considerably improved parameters and weaponry will begin to be supplied to the Defense Ministry," Mikheyev told the media on the sidelines of the MAKS-2015 air show.
Ka-52K is the ship-borne configuration of the Ka-52 Alligator attack helicopter. After the severing of the contract for Mistral ships with France the helicopters will be handed over to naval and ground forces.
Mi-28NM is an upgraded version of the Mi-28N helicopter gunship Night Hunter. Its testing is to be completed in 2016.
