MOSCOW, August 24. /TASS/. Russia’s Armed Forces will hold large-scale special exercises in six Russian regions starting from Monday, the country’s defense ministry has said.
Some 6,000 troops and up to 750 pieces of weaponry, military and special equipment will take part in the drills between August 24 and 29 on the territory of the Western and Central military districts.
"Since August 24, massive special exercises on the comprehensive support of forces will be held in line with the training plan of the Russian Armed Forces," the ministry says.
The drills will practice mass redeployment of troops and the use of the newest complexes and the state-of-the-art developments to support the troops, including robotic and intelligence systems.
The special exercises will conclude a range of events on preparing for the strategic command and staff drills, Center 2015.
