German, French, UK companies among 150 foreign entities to take part in Russian air show

MAKS-2015 Air Show will take place in the Moscow Region on August 25-30 and will gather companies from 25 countries

MOSCOW, August 20. /TASS/. More than 150 foreign companies from 25 countries will take part in the MAKS-2015 International Air Show to be held in the Moscow region in late August, the press service of the Russian Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) told reporters on Thursday.

"More than 150 foreign companies from 25 countries, including European - from Austria, Belgium, the UK, Germany, Italy, France, the Czech Republic and Switzerland - have confirmed their participation. The Turkish company Aselsan and South Africa’s Danel will be represented at the air show for the first time," a report obtained by TASS says.

The Russian Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation noted that more than 600 Russian companies would take part in MAKS-2015.

Among the participants in the air show are such aerobatic groups as the Russian Knights, the Swifts, the Falcons of Russia and the Wings of Taurida.

Aircraft and helicopters of the companies that are part of Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation and the Russian Helicopters holding company will be represented extensively at the show.

Over 80 countries to send delegations to Russia’s MAKS-2015 air show

The press service also said that more than 80 countries plan to send their delegations to this year’s MAKS International Air Show.

"The delegations of more than 80 foreign states are expected to arrive. A range of talks and working meetings on military and technical cooperation are scheduled to be held with the heads and representatives of these delegations," the FSVTS press service said.

Under the program, over 20 events will be held, including the session of the business council of the interstate commission for military and economic cooperation of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).

MAKS-2015 Air Show will take place in the Moscow Region on August 25-30. Its organizers are the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Rostec state corporation.
