Putin to hold meeting on transport infrastructure in southern Russia

MOSCOW, August 20. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin is due to arrive Thursday on a working trip in Novorossiysk to inspect transport infrastructure facilities in southern Russia and visit the Sheskharis oil terminal, the Kremlin press service has said.

Putin will take part in a ceremony of launching the Sheskharis-Grushovaya technological tunnel, a 3.2-km (1.9-mile) reinforced concrete structure with nine pipelines.

The president is scheduled to hold a meeting on developing transport infrastructure in southern Russia.

The Sheskharis transshipment complex, operated by Chernomortransneft, is located in Novorossiysk and is the terminal point of trunk oil pipelines of the Transneft operator in southern Russia.
